All children will be checked on a regular basis to ensure that they are dry and clean.

Nappy’s will be changed on the changing matt on the floor and never on my knee to ensure children’s safety. I will use disposable gloves each time I change a nappy. Parents are asked to provide nappy’s, baby wipes and nappy bags. Also parental permission will be asked to apply nappy cream. After each change of nappy the changing matt will be cleaned with anti-bacterial wipes. Nappy and gloves will be disposed of into a nappy bag and placed into the outside bin. After each nappy change I will wash my hands and the child's hands with anti-bacterial soap in the bathroom sink. Through this I will encourage children to gain a sense of self respect and concern for their personal hygiene and care. I aim to make nappy changing time special by taking and singing to them. Through this I will encourage early language development.
