I believe that using a childminder is beneficial for your child and beneficial to you as a parent. These are the reasons that I decided after more than 10 years in the childcare profession, (having worked in a nurseries ) to set up my own business as a registered childminder:
- Flexability - I offer flexibility in terms of the days and hours I can care for your child. I appreciate how busy you are and I always try to fit in with what suits you best.
- One to One - I never over commit in terms of the amount of children I care for, ensuring they receive my undivided care and attention. Their wellbeing and happiness is my primary concern at all times.
- Homely environment - I try hard to promote a 'home from home' environment, making your child's transition to my care as smooth as possible. I am also very aware of the need to support and reassure both children and their families during this transition.
- Consistency - Your child will always be cared for by me, allowing a sense of familiarity, trust and routine to develop.
- Qualifications - I am a qualified with a BSc in Leadership and Management in Children Services with over 10 years experience in the childcare profession. I have experience with children of all ages and have volunteered as a Pathfinder Youth Leader, and Mother and Toddlers group in recent years. I am also Ofsted registered, CRB approved and paediatric 1st aid qualified.

Like an extended family for our children
Maria has been an extended part of our family, because of how important a role she (and Coco!) have played in our childrens lives, for nearly 5 years. Our youngest daughter has been with Maria since she was 8 months old and our son, now nearly 10, has enjoyed before/after school & holiday childcare during this time also.
From how her home is set up for the children she cares for to how she makes sure their learning & development is catered for with fun, creative tasks and games - I cannot recommend highly enough Maria as a childminder & we are so incredibly grateful for everything over these years. Coco has created an incredible setting in their beautiful back garden to give the children somewhere amazing to play together too! They are both completely focused on the experience of the children in their care.
Our youngest is about to start school and this changes our childcare needs, I feel like a big part of our 'life' is going to be missing as we will no longer be as reliant on Maria but we will still be keeping in touch - we have made friends for life x

Home away from home!
Maria has been looking after my two children, Vincent & Vivienne since they were 8 months old. My son turns six next month & my daughter is now three and a half, so Maria & her lovely family have become a huge part of their lives. It really is a home away from home. They have always been happy going in & coming home, bringing pictures, things they have made & stories about their day with them. Marias experience has been a great help over the years, always on hand to offer advice on the perils of parenting!
Her & husband are friendly, enthusiastic & exceedingly kind people whom I’m so glad I found to take care of my kids. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.

Became our son's second family!
James started going to Maria’s in April 2015. Having considered some nurseries I opted for a childminder and I could see that Maria’s setting was put together with care and consideration for the children she looked after. Summer-time in the garden at Maria’s house is unbeatable! James has developed into a confident, kind and well-adjusted little boy who is ready to start his new chapter joining primary school in September. Maria and her family will be sadly missed, and I can’t thank them enough for their love, support and care over the years.

Excellent childminder
Maria made me and my 2 year old daughter feel safe and comfortable from the start! She was very understanding when my daughter went through tough phases and helped Heidi settle in and make friends really well. It's like a home from home for the kids just as it should be! I appreciate all the new foods she got my daughter to try. ill really miss her.

Excellent childminder
Maria looked after my son from the ages of approx 2-4 years old Monday - Friday's whilst I worked. My son adored his time at her house, made good friends and was sad to leave which was only due to us moving out the area. Maria has a fabulous set up with a beautiful house and garden. She has a great selection of toys both inside the house and in the garden for the kids to play with. Maria and her family are kind, very caring and now are our great friends. Id recommended her childminding services to anyone. Shes flexible with childcare and will go out her way to help you. Excellent.
